I felt quite disappointed… only to find a preview of the story, this morning. Saw it last night and thought this would be the next (big) thing I want to write about on this page and already dreamt of having the full spread ready to ravish my eyes when I wake up. Though, the lack of pictures didn’t stop the inspiration and nothing could have delayed the release of this post. The idea of having to create a second part made the venture even more exciting, to be true with you, and it made me think that the word “teaser” has never deserved its name as much as it does now — the gorgeous, stylish portrait above is literally teasing the eye and enhancing the wildest expectations for what’s going to follow soon. Even the credits at the bottom of the first page are quite thrill-provoking for whoever remembers previous collaborations between Heloise Guerin and photographer Victor Demarchelier. I dare to bet everyone remembers, as much as I do, after their unforgettable work in common for V Man last year (and how frustrating was it to realise it doesn’t continue further than one image in the story The Lover, Fall 2011 issue). The conoisseurs might also keep in mind another masterpiece of theirs, on which Heloise appears as a graceful silhouette captured in the most simple, intimist and refined black and white atmosphere. Such sweet and strong memories fuel the impatience to discover more of the upcoming editorial from Harper’s Bazaar, US edition. When the hunger for the inimitable scent of freshly printed glossy paper meets the irresistible spell of the muse…
