Neon-bright lights meet ice-cold landscapes and red-hot sceneries? That’s an original concept and one had to work this out, a mixture of contradictory messages where all ingredients strangely but surely fall into place. Add a couple of fluorescent lambs and carefree snowy puppies, masks and feathers; and you’ve probably already left this world for some kind of wonderland created by photographer Roman Gorchakov (surrounded by stylist Darina Shatilo and make-up artist Anna Soina) for the russian brand ENA. The main female character of that otherworldly scenario called Funny Sheep (good find!) is Eskimo’s charismatic model Anastasia Talakina who embodies this lady of ice with a twist who seems ready to make us melt at any second. At the point you wonder if she was a great pick for this story or if her role was tailor-made to suit her. Will we ever exactly know or even want to know it? I’d dare to say no and add that visuals definitely do it better. It’s flashy and catchy enough to leave our silly friday-evening questions aside.
